Medical Marijuana in Oklahoma: What You Need to Know
When it comes to medical marijuana, many businesses in the state don't really know what the future holds. Can you still drug test employees when they have a medical license? How does this change liability for the company when an employee is on the clock with THC in his or her system?
Join us April 12th to answer the tough questions about new laws in the state. Adria Berry, the VP for Government Affairs with the State Chamber of Oklahoma, will be with us to discuss the impact of the new legislation and how it could affect you as an individual and your business. She'll walk us through how we can move forward and areas of concern that might not have been discussed in your office.
Adria Berry advocates for sound, business-friendly policies in the areas of Human Resources & Labor Law, Legal Reforms, and Workers' Compensation. She received her J.D. and Certificate in Public Policy and Regulation from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2008 and is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Oklahoma. Along with experience working as a contract lobbyist and regulatory affairs consultant, Adria spent much of the last decade practicing law, volunteering and teaching.
Our monthly luncheon is a business educational program presented by corporate leaders covering topics and issues relevant to business owners. Business@Lunch allows you to make connections with other Chamber Partners and leaders in the community while gaining valuable education to assist you in your business.
*Begining January 1, 2019, the Chamber requests that all events are prepaid upon registration. Adjusting some of our current processes will allow us to more effectively allocate resources and redirect our focus on member services.*
