First Job Out of School: Agricultural Education Instructor at Oilton Public Schools (2013-2016)
Career Highlights: Coached 3 FFA National Champions, Coached over 40 FFA State Champions, Site Teacher of the Year at both Oilton and Stillwater
Volunteer Activities: Most of my volunteering is centered around my position as one of the Stillwater FFA Advisors. This year, we founded the Cans for Community 5K Race which raised 3,155 canned good items for the Stillwater Salvation Army. In addition, our 2017 Grow Your Own Thanksgiving Meal Program allowed students to raise 40 turkeys, harvest and process the birds, and donate the products to Our Daily Bread. We have also hosted addition canned food drives, participated in the Salvation Army Angel Tree, worked at the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank, and provide dcare packages for soldiers overseas. I am also a member of the Stillwater Church of Christ.
What do you think about Stillwater: As a husband, father of a 2-year old son, and a recent homeowner, Stillwater is a fantastic place to start and raise a family. The community is centered around fantastic education systems and has plenty of retail businesses to meet any need; however, it still seems to keep a small town feel that makes us all feel at home.
Best Piece of Advice Given Regarding Your Career: Never be afraid to set ambitious careers goals and always strive to better yourself in the workplace. However, always place family first. There will always be career opportunities; but the time spent with a young son or daughter will only last for a short time.
"I am honored to be listed alongside so many talented and exceptional individuals," Robby said. "I am also proud that educators are respected as business leaders in Stillwater; this shows that our community prioritizes our youth and their education."
