Aaron began his career as a market analyst at Koch Industries in Wichita, KS. He’s worked for Wilson Buick-GMC since his parents purchased the former Ron Shirley dealership. He looks forward to the completion of the brand-new Buick-GMC-Cadillac facility on 6th and Country Club. In addition to the new dealership, career highlights include being voted President of the Oklahoma Chevy Team Advertising Council the past three years.
He serves as the general manager of the dealership and has for the past six years. In this role, he gets to “ensure our employees have the training and tools to be fulfilled and ready to serve each of customers,” he said. “Our Mission is to rewrite what service is in the automotive industry, and deliver that service to each of our customers every day.” He believes that youth is an asset in our community. When asked about his best piece of advice regarding his career he stated, “It’s widely known that wisdom comes with age, which is certainly true—but the benefits of being young are often dismissed. The energy, passion and hunger you have as a younger adult is an asset you must leverage while you have it,” he added.
He enjoys being in Stillwater and the youth brought to town by the university. In order to give back, he volunteers his time on numerous boards across the community. These boards include: Payne County Youth Services, Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, Stillwater Public Education Foundation Board and the Fiji Fraternity Housing Corporation Board.
“The university assists in breeding a diverse economy, which ends up creating a higher quality of life for all of us,” said Aaron. “Stillwater is home.”
