STILLWATER, Okla. (August 26, 2019) - The Stillwater Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome a new communications intern to the team!
Emily Alexander, a sophomore at Oklahoma State University, will join the team for the fall 2019 semester. A native of Canadian, Texas, Emily learned about the ins and outs of a small business from her parents as they owned a deli and convenience store.
"I have had the unique opportunity to observe how a small community works together to economically stay afloat while watching my mom serve on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce," Emily said. "I am so excited to serve as the Chamber's intern and cannot wait to grow as a professional and employee."
Emily will help with the Chamber's marketing efforts, particularly helping with social media and the annual Commerce magazine. As a marketing major, Emily said she was drawn to this position due to her background and the opportunity to work with community members.
"I truly understand and have a passion for small business owners and the sacrifices they make for the community," Emily said. "I cannot wait to join each of you; thank you for having me! Go Pokes!"
