We wanted to pass some information along from other organizations within our state and community to help your business, your employees, and you.
Executive Order from Governor Stitt: As of March 24, there were 109 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Oklahoma, leading to the restriction of nonessential businesses in the 19 counties with confirmed cases, including Payne County. To view a list of industries that are classified as "essential," visit the Department of Homeland Security's website.
Oklahoma Department of Commerce: Additional teleconferences for Oklahoma businesses interested in the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program have been scheduled. Each meeting is free but capped at 1,000 participants.

Oklahoma Employment Security Commission: Resources regarding filing for unemployment or finding work can be found on the OESC website. The one-week waiting period for claiming unemployment benefits has been suspended.

Stillwater Regional Airport: Although nationwide passenger numbers continue to decrease, some essential travel still takes place at Stillwater Regional Airport. Read Airport Director Paul Priegel's statement regarding precautions taken to keep our community safe and healthy.
Payne County Election Board: Stillwater School Board elections, previously scheduled for April 7, have been moved to June 30.
Stillwater Medical Foundation: Stillwater Medical has a severe shortage of blood supplies to assist patients. The Red Cross will host a blood drive Friday, April 3, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. To schedule an appointment, visit and enter stillwatermedical as the sponsor code.
U.S. Census Bureau: The Census Bureau has added a response rate tracker to its website. Payne County and Stillwater currently have a 23.1% self-response rate, which is slightly higher than the state average. Please encourage members of your organization to respond, and help us spread the word about the importance of reporting in Stillwater.
